I had no particular dog in this hunt, and I think I do a good job at managing the games objectively, but I do have to say that this Phils team is one of my all-time favorite tabletop teams to manage – Dykstra, Kruk and Daulton are on base constantly, there is power all around the lineup, and the pitching staff has just enough of an element of duct tape and bailing wire that it’s a constant managerial challenge. I’ve been using Clay’s “Season Play” pitcher fatigue system to manage staffs for these Series replays and, while I do think it’s probably a little on the harsh side, it REALLY makes you think about who/when to make a change and the repercussions for the next few days.
