1965-1969 “Originals” – Point Totals
Detroit and San Francisco were tied after ten seasons but the Giants (4.5 points) prevailed in the eleventh year. The Tigers finished second with 3.5 points, followed by the Braves and Yankees with one point each and the Dodgers and White Sox with one-half point apiece. As mentioned in the Methodology section, the team with the highest victory total during a given season receives one point. If two or more teams tie for the lead, each receives 0.5 points.
